People looking for volunteering opportunities are being urged to get in contact with the Richmond Volunteer Centre.

Current opportunities include becoming a helper at the Together as One support group, which provides a social outlet for those suffering from loneliness, social inclusion or mental health difficulties.

There are also opportunities for supporters to help run informal English classes for new-to-English parents, the Richmond EAL Friendship group and trustees are needed to develop the Richmond ethnic Women’s Association self-help group for ethnic minorities.

Alternatively, user led advocacy and mental health signposting service Taking Control is looking for a chairman, and the Kew Community Trust is searching for a trustee with business and financial experience to get involved with their social centre’s board.

For details or to get involved contact Richmond Volunteer Centre on 020 8255 8190 or visit richmondcvs.org.uk/volunteercentre.
