Depression tackled by Teddington actress

A Teddington actress will perform in a play about the highs and lows of manic depression.

Catherine Gerrard, 26, of Stanley Road, will appear in the Fantasist at the Blue Elephant Theatre, in Camberwell, from February 28.

The former Lady Eleanor Holles School pupil says: “I’ve acted since the age of eight and throughout school I had parts in different productions like Wind in the Willows, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the Tempest.

“I’ve lived in Richmond my whole life but I haven’t really had the chance to perform in the area before. It would be fantastic to bring this play to Richmond.”

Gerrard graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in geography before she pursued a career in theatre.
